Philosopher Warriors was created by
In my view the most powerful man on earth is a philosopher warrior, a man who has sculpted his body AND mind to it's utmost perfection. Obviously my favorite model for this is Socrates, known as th wisest man alive he was also a skilled soldier. My question is: what other philosopher warriors do you know and what made them the greatest of their time?

Marcus Aurelius...

"His stoic ideas often involve avoiding indulgence in sensory affections, a skill which, he says, will free a man from the pains and pleasures of the material world. He claims that the only way a man can be harmed by others is to allow his reaction to overpower him. An order or logos permeates existence. Rationality and clear-mindedness allow one to live in harmony with the logos. This allows one to rise above faulty perceptions of "good" and "bad"" - per http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meditations
I recommend reading his "Meditations", if you have never, had the chance...

Was bs also in peak physical condition? I jumped to his wiki link and noticed he was an emperor. Although Socrates did speak highly of the idea of a philosopher king, I am searching for a philosopher warrior, who's mind is as sharp as the blade he wields. I doubt an emperor ever fought his own wars but that doesn't mean he didn't train.
