Parkour and Freerunning was created by
I have been doing parkour for awhile now and it's a really good workout. I was thinking that combining parkour and martial arts training would make a really good physical activity and help build reflexes like crazy. It would be kind of like freerunning but may be a little bit more simple. Any way I highly recommend trying parkour for part of your physical fitness regime.
Here's an example of parkour: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVc8btZeAsg&feature=related

Freerunning is a little different than parkour because it has more flips and tricks, here's an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92k9-7g8m-s&feature=related

You can freerun and parkour in cities or forests, whichever suits you. Be careful, don't do anything dangerous without enough training.

interesting idea of blending martial arts with parkour/freerunning...that would definately create a very unorthodox defensive method.

we do have a thread somewhere on here about parkour/freerunning and its benefits. it's definately something i find interesting to watch.

I would think many of the skills passed on to Ninja (no pirate jokes please) are comparable to parkour/freerunning - at least in the more ancient teachings.

Something to consider?

probably not a great idea - you'd be sued for damages and the like

better to use suction cups these days - or be sneaky and use the elevator :D
