Just in the small sample of people I observe in my neck of the desert I feel like orthodox religion is on the decline, but spirituality is continuing to rise.
And some of the spiritualists are remaining in their current religion and infusing it with new ideas that's further taking their religions further from their orthodox past.
Again, mostly anecdotal, but take it for what it's worth.
