Freemason Jedis was created by Whyte Horse
So I was wondering about Jedis who become freemasons, if there are any. From what I understand, each freemason must swear upon a "bible" and I wonder what the Jedi use? The great Jedi Holocron? I wonder if the freemasons even accept that? I do know they say you must have a higher power and the force definitely qualifies...

Whilst I can not speak for all Jedi here from what I know there is no freemason Jedi here...but that's not why I'm replying.

We don't have a Jedi 'bible' here at TOTJO but some Jedi do use the Jedi Holocron as a bible...All the bible really is, is a collection of teachings that act as a guide on how to treat people / life lessons.

So until we have a larger collection of 'life lessons' I doubt any TOTJO bible will be formed...

yes we do have a freemason jedi here....i believe master daniel l. is a 32nd degree freemason...could be wrong about which master is a freemason, but pretty sure it's master daniel...

upon a quick look, i was wrong about it being master daniel...but we do have a master that is a freemason....now i'm determined to find out which one...it's in his signature....so it's simply a matter of going through posts and getting lucky enough to find one of his

after further searching i still haven't found the master that's a freemason...but did find several other members that are freemasons....so to answer the original question again...yes we do have freemason jedi...you'll have to ask one of them about the oath....although from what i read in their posts, they were freemasons before joining totjo

Jedi don't need books to take an oath.

From what I know of the Jedi Holocron it is... meh...

There are good things in it but I certainly don't use it as a resource. It is lots of people's thoughts on particular subjects. It is massive and contains many hundreds of posts by various people but quantity by no means at all equals quality

Freemasons use traditionally a bible, however, since the brotherhood is worldwide... and the meaning is behind a faith... any book of worship would do. The Qur'an, the Bible, Book of Mormons, etc. All of these relate to a greater power.

I would imagine that as long as you brought the book and explained it was your faith, it would be accepted. Though, it would be interesting to petition the Grand Lodge to open a Jediist Lodge. If you would like, I will write an email to my local Worshipful Master to see what he says.

OK that would be great! If you could confirm they accept a book like that I would appreciate it too.

I recall seeing a book by TOTJO but I forget what it's called. I stumbled across it when I was looking for a definition of jediism. I think it's just an ebook online out there free but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet...

EDIT: The book was called The Way of Jediism by John Henry Phelan, Mark Barwell, Hans Thomas Finch
