Learn from the Earth

Earth, Teach Me
Earth teach me quiet ~ as the grasses are still with new light.
Earth teach me suffering ~ as old stones suffer with memory.
Earth teach me humility ~ as blossoms are humble with beginning.
Earth teach me caring ~ as mothers nurture their young.
Earth teach me courage ~ as the tree that stands alone.
Earth teach me limitation ~ as the ant that crawls on the ground.
Earth teach me freedom ~ as the eagle that soars in the sky.
Earth teach me acceptance ~ as the leaves that die each fall.
Earth teach me renewal ~ as the seed that rises in the spring.
Earth teach me to forget myself ~ as melted snow forgets its life.
Earth teach me to remember kindness ~ as dry fields weep with rain.

- An Ute Prayer

The connection that Native American culture has had with the Earth is stunningly beautiful.

As much as any other culture on Earth, the Native American culture shows us clearly how nature, including the example set by nature, gives us everything we need to live in peace and harmony.

Commentary: Replace the word "Earth" with the word "Force" everywhere it appears in the above prayer, and see if any of that makes sense to you.

What a beautiful passage.

The Force resides in all living things. The Earth, being the home to all known living things, is the Force. We are bound together intrinsically; unknowingly and knowingly.

A Zen master gathered his students for a sermon. As he opened his mouth a bird nearby sang. The Zen master smiled and proclaimed, "The sermon has been delivered."

We learn everything from nature, from each other (natural beings of the Earth). So listen, learn, and become one with the Force.

Thank you for sharing! (And beetee dubs, loving that Initiate bar! You deserve it!)
