I am amazed and inspired by the Dalai Lama and his (and his team's) efforts to keep Buddhist teachings, and general teachings of peace, available to digitally driven people of today's society. Today, you can find the Dalai Lama on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Google+, maintaining a positive presence and impact in the world.

To celebrate this, I'd like to open this thread to the inspiring words of the Dalai Lama as can be found on these social networking websites, to show that Buddhism is faith that is just as applicable now as it was in the first days of the Buddha.

I don't think I realized how active he was in the "modern world". I wonder what he thinks of it all.
I definitely need to look more into these types of things.. I can very obviously learn a lot from them.

It was a really lovely speech that he gave

Roughly 31:20

I am Buddhist but should not develop attachment to Buddhism.
Once attachment develop then your attitude to your mental thinking becomes biased.
So biased mind never sees objectively the other thing.
So many I think sincere religious person, too much faith, biased attachment.
Attachment comes from self-centered attitude; I am right they are not.

(Paraphrased)

He really is just a kind hearted man
