A quick question

I would like to apologize in advance for my ignorance, however I could not find the answer to this anywhere.

My question is regarding to the Initiate Program, and it is in two parts.

Firstly, I have made the oath, and also have submitted my application. I read as to where your application will take a week or two to be processed, in order for it to be accepted. Will I receive a message stating whether or not my application has been accepted or declined?

Secondly, (This is more so the meat of the true question.) concerning the Initiate Program, the journals. Do you have to receive an acceptance of your application to start the journal process, or can I go ahead and start posting? IE: Create the Journal thread, and starting doing some of the lessons and posting my writings?
