What is the clergy?
As a non-profit religious organisation the Temple of the Jedi Order has the ability to license and ordain its own ministers in a clerical capacity.
The clergy is the area of the Temple that deals with the spritiual well-being of the community as a whole. The clergy are not spiritual authorities, but they are entrusted with helping guide people along their Jedi journeys.
Our clergy are not mental healthcare professionals, they are guides, and if a member is feeling particularly emotionally distressed then they should seek the appropriate clinical help.
There is a difference in the kind of training that is done by the clergy in our seminary and the training done within the degree scheme. The degree training is there to help individuals and members with their own understanding of the Jedi path as it applies to them. The seminary training is there to provide assistance and to further expand an individual's understanding of their Jedi path.
There is a requirement of having reached the rank of Initiate and being at least 16 years of age prior to being admitted into the Seminary (our clergy training area).
How does confession work?
We do not have sin, confession for a Jedi is closer in nature to 'Help'. If a member is struggling spiritually, or they need someone to talk to, or they need some guidance then that is what the clergy are there for.
Please be aware that while all Clergy Persons at the Temple are trustworthy people and can be approached for help, only those who have been ordained are bound by an oath of confession; Licensed Ministers, whether temprorary or full time, are not bound by an oath of confession.
Past acts are bound by the seal of confidentiality, however if plans for future crimes are admitted then the minister is obliged to report what was said to local authorities.
Not all countries recognise confession's confidentiality, if a crime is admitted during confession then it is possible that if required to in a court of law the minister will have to give details of what was said. Please check local civil laws on the issue, or ask the minister prior to confession whether this applies.
Commissioned/Temporarily Licensed Ministers
If you wish to officiate a ceremony as a comissioned Jedi minister without going through the seminary training then we are able to grant a temporary minister license for that occasion. Please contact a Pastor if you wish to be granted a temporary license.

Hold on about this, Connor ....
That is one of the things that we'll be discussing on Sunday. No need to fix something we're not sure what it's going to look like in a week or two (or a month or two)

It was effectively a list of active clergy on the forums, much like we have for Knights. I think it is a useful article to have and would support seeing it once more
