Wendaline, In Judaism the reason pork is forbidden is because it falls into a specified category.

For land animals to be Kosher it must have a split hoof and chew it's own cud. Since pigs do not chew their own cud they are forbidden.

sea food must have scales and fins to be Kosher. which is why shrimp, lobster, crab and shark are not kosher.

I often try to read the quran, I find it a very interesting book, but I can't say I'm an expert on Islam, so thanks for this topic, very insightful.
