It is always common at certain times in our history that we are extremely discouraged and discouraged from moving forward. Maybe you can think that this is common, we all have our bad days, but it is not exactly this situation that I am referring to. There are periods of extreme pain that we all have to go through, whether through a traumatic experience, long periods of recession; Most often events beyond our "control". They look like caves where we are trapped, in the dark, with no apparent way out; It is natural in these cases to feel a lack of hope. In those dark times we go through, it's common for things to get worse. People who commit suicide, others go without work or food, violence that spreads with robberies and abuses of power. All this contributes to our self-esteem. However prepared we may be for those moments, there is no way to avoid them altogether.

I use the word "control," because that really is an illusory idea about our reality. It seems that we can always be better and our society impels us to this, a competition is an end, where everything depends only on us and our commitment. The reality is quite different, it is not a simple competition of force, these changes are much bigger than us, much stronger than a group of people or even whole countries. I do not want to take the responsibility of their actions off people's shoulders. I just want to show a different focus, a point of view. Both internally and externally, we can see that there are cycles going on. We are not disconnected from other people and the world itself, we are more than mere fruits of our choices, but moreover, constructions of our society that reproduce their culture and history in our lives. So there is no reason to understand these concepts and when we are going through a bad time the fault is ours alone. There is the time to plant and the time to harvest, just as there is the time to weep and the time to smile. So it's not about being optimistic as we tend to listen; Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just a point of view.

During these cycles, time can be on top and this gives us a position of extreme advantage; There is no benefit in thinking that things will only improve, but it is a good time to pool resources and energies for future times, make the most of it and cultivate our skills. It's the ideal time to save some money, make good friends, work on our weaknesses; Bad times can come and even if it does not happen, you'll already be prepared and you can prepare even better. Likewise, when bad times come this is the time to stay focused on what really matters and take care that the flame of the spirit does not go out. Several problems will show up along the way, as diverse and challenging as possible. So you might think why these things are happening; Several times I also asked myself, however, the answer we often do not want to realize is that: things are what they are and what is done is done. If we made a mistake, it was liable to happen, we were human and we were wrong. In these situations we have to have a constructive attitude in front of the difficulties, to understand that everything happens for our learning, nothing will change if we are only regretting.

  1. Sadness and joy are parts of life, are energies and we can manipulate them at our pleasure. This requires some maturity from us, accepting and learning from our mistakes lead us to deal with all our difficulties. Many people in their saddest times have produced their best works. Among other things, the only certainty we can have at these times is that things can only get better. So finally when the sun rises after all this storm, you can come out much stronger than when you entered, more mature and better prepared for future difficulties. I believe this is a realistic view of the facts of how life works and how I learned to deal with it all.
