I don't think one Knight should represent the entire temple, just as one crazed Trump voter or supporter doesn't represent all of them, or how one crazed AOC or just left-in-general supporter represents all people who are on the left. Note I say left and not far left, as I consider them separate parties at this point.

So, one person never represents an entire group. This said if we can move on without any issues then let's do it.

I spent 2 pretty long posts defending the person that Steamboat targeted... which again... was mainly Carlos from what I read. In that I said no one here is a Nazi. I don't know how much more of a direct rebuttal I could make to the statement. As for responding to Steam directly (who left the thread), he wasn't the one I was worried about. Sometimes you have to focus on supporting your brother than chasing after the person who wronged him. And in doing so I can contradict an idea without specifically referencing or going after an individual. If you're looking for retaliation, just as you are a sith you have to keep in mind that I'm a Jedi. My goal is to separate people from bad ideas, not destroy them together. Now if Steam wants to debate his statements further then I will probably weigh in directly, but I'm sure once he has a chance to center himself that will probably prove unnecessary.

But, with steam being the example, I don't think the temple TOLD him what to say. I assumed it was of his own volition. Thus, it's not how the whole temple feels about the topic, as further demonstrated by other members in this thread not taking the same stance.

In broad sweeps, I fully support your above quoted Jedi Believe bit - but in practical application, I draw a line around my land (convenient for me, as my country is girt by sea, we even wrote a song about it) and make that the limit of my influence or concern, and leave those on the other side of that line to fend for themselves (discrimination by circumstances of birth - you were born in the wrong place)
furthermore, should those on the outside of the shape attempt to improve their position via means of taking from those inside the shape, I suppose I have made the decision to prefer one "side's" needs over the other, and will act accordingly.

Can't be all things to all people I suppose.

Now, if I've determined that it's fair enough for me to make that call based purely on geography, I would be hard pressed holding anyone else to account for making a similar assessment based on their own criteria, whether it be colour, creed, shape of skull, number of teeth, chromosomes, favourite music, whatever.



(I suppose ideally, all Jedi would be active and involved members of the UN, but we can't all be so lucky, so we, as individuals, have to take a pragmatic view of our influence.)

To accuse someone of Nazism simply because they don't directly oppose who you call "Nazi" is extremism in itself.. I refuse to join.. mainly because I don't regard white preservationists and anti-globalists either as collectively the same or the actual threat to this Union or this world as a whole.. that's just small thinking, too simple..

So, after reviewing the thread and the TOS, I realize that I had made a mistake hoping that the forgiveness of one post would lead to further discussion on something over arching about political rhetoric. I am going to remove both flagrant violations of the TOS, This will also serve as an official warning that though at this moment no administrative action is being taken towards either poster, any behavior like this again will result immediate administrative action.

I made a mistake here and it will not happen again. Please show courtesy to each other, there is NO setting that this is acceptable.
