Random stuff that is interesting

This is open to everyone who cares to contribute

The idea here is that I come across random things that maybe dont fit easily into one of the categories of the forums, and instead of making a new thread for each one, this thread will be like a deposit box of internet awesomeness, so that the awesomeness can be kept somewhat tidy

i think you all know whats coming next: youtube videos, lol (sorry Edan)

i will also give a description and some brief commentary, for those who oppose youtube on moral principle lol

and the thread is not by any means limited to youtuve videos, i just happen to love youtube and find a lot of cool stuff there

the first one is a guy who allows himself to be bitten by a black mamba
he gets bitten twice and survives

he says that he has been exposing himself to increasing doses of venom for years, including from a taipan (although it was not specified if it was an snake-facts.weebly.com/inland-taipan.html or a coastal taipan ), as well as a cobra, and that his body has built resistance as a consequence

here is a news article about him: www.independent.co.uk/news/world/america...tidote-a6825791.html

admittedly, i have no way to know if anyone if anyone has checked the snakes to see if their venom ducts are still intact, or followed up on his claims of hospital visits

Ok are you trying to give me anxiety? I mean first the Darwin award beggars. Now terminator dogs...... I think I need to check my ammo levels because those dog things scare the crap out of me. I mean yea they are cool and robotic development is fascinating but those things look soooooo creepy. I prefer the DARPA " sky walker hand" and the Honda Osimo robots personally.

LOL nah I know robotics are important and I think what we are creating or on the verge of creating is amazing. Its just those robo dogs in particular are so creepy. I mean Asimo ( spelled it wrong before) is freaking cute but those dogs straight up look like they are out of a dystopian movie. Sad thing is even as I say that I am totally down to become a cyborg. As for ammo yea I have a good stock. Though some how I do not think my brand new karambit is going to help fight the robot overlords lol.

Remember, robots can be harder to kill than zombies. Robots tend to be armored whereas zombies are falling apart as it is.

Ways to fight robots:
  1. Cause enough structural damage that it can no longer move and/or function.
  2. Destroy/interrupt it's power source.
  3. Destroy/interrupt it's processor.

How you accomplish these things is up to you. Yes, I have given these kinds of things thought. That's what happens when you're a huge nerd with a background in martial arts. B)
