Loss of a grand lady was created by Garm
We have experienced the loss of my wife's grandmother Edna. It came as no surpise, she has been getting weaker over the past weeks. She was 93.

Last week we lost Ednas younger sister, my wifes Great Aunt. Edna always said that she would take care of her brothers and sisters. She outlived all her younger siblings. It's like with the passing of her sister last week she decided, Ok, my job is done, I can go now.

Do not be sad for Edna, she was a fighter, full of life and enjoyed her time on this earth, she had little but never complained of what was missing, but was overjoyed by what and who she had around her.

She has moved on to whatever comes next, and I'm sure where ever she is, she has friends already.

My thoughts for you and your family will be in my meditations.

At 93 it is amazing to think of all she would have seen come to pass.

May the force be with you and your family.

My deepest sympathy and prayers for your wife and you. Please tell her for me.

It is normal for humans to grieve and necessary to heal. The physical absence of a loved one, the void hurts. In time the very real presence of the love that lives on will fill that void and the good memories will replace that void.

An often-told story by Zen masters to teach about naturalness is about a Zen monk, who heard about the death of a close relative and started crying. Other monks objected to it; they said monks should not show their personal attachments. To this he said, ‘Don’t be stupid, I am crying because I want to cry.’

May The Force Grant You Peace,

Great grandmother? Wow, that is quite an achievement. I could not imagine a better feeling than moving on into the next life knowing a job well done. From what I can see she will also not be far from her family now. My thoughts are with you Lenny.
