Winter Morning
JAMES CREWS

When I can no longer say thank you
for this new day and the waking into it,
for the cold scrape of the kitchen chair
and the ticking of the space heater glowing
orange as it warms the floor near my feet,
I know it is because I’ve been fooled again
by the selfish, unruly man who lives in me
and believes he deserves only safety
and comfort. But if I pause as I do now,
and watch the streetlights outside winking
off one by one like old men closing their
cloudy eyes, if I listen to my tired neighbors
slamming car doors hard against the morning
and see the steaming coffee in their mugs
kissing their chapped lips as they sip and
exhale each of their worries white into
the icy air around their faces—then I can
remember this one life is a gift each of us
was handed and told to open: Untie the bow
and tear off the paper, look insideand
be grateful for whatever you find
even if it is only the scent of a tangerine
that lingers on the fingers long after
you’ve finished eating it.

I am grateful for translate so I can read as much as I can. Also I am always pretty grateful for when others have those moments that make them feel good, special and cared for.

Also I am grateful for kindness, we may not get the stories about it on the news often but it is out there!

I'm thankful/grateful for my music that I can afford, for my birds and service dog, being somewhat healthy (It could be better, but it could be worse!) and for finding the Temple. I'm thankful for my friends and my family. There's so much more, but we'd be here all day, LOL!!

The things I am grateful for today:
- The opportunity to learn and grow.
- To connect to like minded people from all over the world via phone, teleconference, email, text, and forum post
- Being of overall good health
- Having a job that I already telecommute for, so it wasn't much of a transition
- For the access to technology to allow things to move more easily for those I care about

I am grateful, for being here. I always knew there were other jedis, following the path im following. Growing as i grow. But i felt like i had clouds in my eyes. Strange. I will use the example of Ana Frank. She was surrounded by loving people, but felt alone. Then she used the journal to express her self. The temple is my journal. And seeing all this, gives me faith. My eyes are cleared as i see how i am with you.

May the force be with you!

(Excuse my bad english, it is not my main language and i am very young)

I am grateful for many things. For those who know/knew me. I tend to wear much on my sleeve. I struggle with some decisions, especially with decisions that affect others that I respect and care for.

So chief among the things I am thankful for is the clarity of mind that I can achieve. This by itself was a blessing, but the support I have from my wife and partner, allows even daunting decisions easily tallied, then dealt with.

A wise friend once told me, that you are only responsible to yourself. I have found that wisdom incomplete. You are responsible to yourself and your people, whomever you choose them to be. As you orbit them, and they orbit you.

Being grateful
We should give thanks in all things.
And I guess it's true what we see in others is what is inside of ourselves if we see only the badd we always find the bad and what's wrong in everything around us.
Or if we are consumed with light and love all we see is beauty in things around us the good in people and all the things we're thankful for.

It reminds me of something I read a long time ago about The Vikings who were in a very small boat in the middle of the ocean in a great storm and waves
We're about to kill them and instead of praying to save their lives they only prayed that the Lord would break the clouds just a little bit so they could steer their course by the stars.

I am grateful for everyone here that checks up on me and looks out for me when my anxiety is bad, and for everyone that is understanding when I have to cancel a JP session or put something off until the next week. It makes it a lot easier to cope.

I am thankful that I am still able to post here. I am grateful I am still welcome after taking a long hiatus. I am grateful for the chance to help people even when that means dealing with horrifying things.

I'm grateful for having the first proper good day in ages... without anxiety, without worry... just a day in my garden, out in the sun, enjoying myself. I'm also grateful that my good mood means I've been able to start watching The Falcon and The Winter Solider, as anxiety usually makes me watch stuff I've already seen.
