Walking, stumbling on these shadowfeet
Part of the seduction of most religions is the idea that if you just say the right things and believe really hard, your salvation will be at hand.
With Jediism. No one is coming to save you. You have to get off your ass and do it yourself - Me

An xkcd is a webcomic.
The letters do not stand for anything. And, the author has posted this as his tag: "A webcomic of romance,
sarcasm, math, and language."
He spends a lot of his time doing comics about "exposing" truth in clever ways, framing ideas in ways they may or may not have been looked at before. He is famous on Reddit for having an "xkcd" for everything, hence: "Here's a relevant xkcd!"
You might have a story on Reddit about naked cheerleaders. He's probably made a comic about it. Like, this one is about "pi": http://xkcd.com/10/

Oh no. I discovered Reddit very recently. What I saw was enough to silence my rants through sheer disappointment of said stupidity.

Looks to me like another version of the beloved "
It works, bitches
".
In my humble opinion that is the definitive guide to setting priorities when looking for answers. There would be nothing bad about pseudo-science if it didn't make us waste time that could be spent improving our collective lives through genuine exploration instead.
I hear the philosopher asking "but matters it really less what is true than what is useful?"
If by 'matters' they mean 'is worthwhile', then perhaps so. And down leads the slippery slope towards engaging discussions that are, indeed, truly worth having.

I had been presented xkcd by Vusuki a while back. Much of the humour they do is pretty funny, admittedly ...
