Make sure you watch the first review:

Then play this commentary while watching the Phantom Menace (muted), because it's much more interesting than the soundtrack/effects/voices for the actual film:
http://redlettermedia.bandcamp.com/
Just a warning, contains strong language lol

"The fact is this is so genius I have the feeling that George Lucas had nothing to do with it and probably fought against putting it in the movie".
This basically summarizes my opinion of Star Wars. Lucas wishes he could have used CGI to make jabba. I've seen plastic puppet jabba, first cgi jabba, second cgi jabba. And you know what, the puppet version is AWESOME. Probably the best alien baddie ever made.
PS: Unrelated, but did you guys see the trailer for the new total recall? WILL SOMEONE NUKE CALIFORNIA PLEASE

RedLetterMedia: Half in the Bag: The Last Jedi Review (spoilers)

A film in which basically nothing happens and every character ends up exactly where they were before, except for Po who learns to blindly follow authority.

I wouldn't say he learned to blindly follow as much as he learned to view the bigger picture. Sometimes the best heros are never known, and he was too concerned with his title as the greatest pilot in the resistance (pretty sure we learned that title before we even learned his name). It was a lesson that, I think, will make him into a great leader for the Rebellion moving forward.
