Prefix Titles for Knights (Male / Female) was created by Proteus
I was looking at the list of Knights on here and a thought went through my head when I was reading the names with "Knight" preceding them.
Could the Knights of TOTJO technically use "Sir" (male), and "Lady" (female) as prefixes?
For example
"Sir Wescli Wardest"
or
"Lady V-Tog"
(Optionally, many of the members' real names seem to sound wonderful with these prefixes too )
Would or could these be considered correct prefixes for TOTJO Knights?
Could this legally, or otherwise (in whatever official way) be used out in the world when referring to one's position in TOTJO?
Just curious.

That would be a good idea in my opinion...Sir Proteus
I guess you 'could' use it but not 'legally' ? We'd have to see what Br. John says.

It wouldn't be legally binding. Only Specific organisations recognised by the government can issue people with 'proper' knighthoods
TotJO can create Reverends and give out degrees of divinity but that's it

I'd like to see the government interfere with a church's internal affairs.
Plus, this is the UK. You can change your legal name to "Sir Arthur Pendragon".
Convictions are more dangerous foes of truth than lies.

As ren mentioned, you can call yourself whatever you want but that doesn't mean it will be recognised by anyone else!
The use of such prefixes are regulated by each country and recognised internationally as a result. We can only issue the prefix of "Reverend" and the suffix of "OCP" as standard.

So what about the title of "Knight" used now? Is it simply a TOTJO exclusive title then?

It's not a title as such, but a way of mentioning rank. It's in no way compulsory.
For instance, you could call me "Grandmaster Mark" but there's really no need to!
