The United Jedi Council

Is anyone here from the Temple familiar with the United Jedi Council organization? If so, are we in anyway affiliated with it?

Not at all. Visited their site, clicked on the "our beliefs" page, saw:

Our beliefs are a means of explaining the principles under which we operate.

visited another site where there was an announcement about this UJC, saw it is in fact operated by someone who was excommunicated from totjo.

I rarely here anyone talk about money here. From what this website's FAQ says, it seems as though money is one of their primary focuses. Now I do see them mention things like feeding the homeless, which is great and all, but a religious organization with so much focus on money starts to look like a cult in the eyes of the public very quickly.

We are not affiliated, officially, with any other organization...

Other than our website, and one physical chapter in Roseville, Michigan, we aren't affiliated with anyone....

We have nothing against other sites, but we don't know most of them, and can't vouch for them...

Where can I find information on the times you guys set up offline groups so I can send people your way when they ask if there is a local chapter?

Also, what could we do to set up a physical gathering here somewhere near us? I tried looking around the forum and couldn't find the offline activities one. A link would be much appreciated.

There is a gathering every year hosted by a nuetral site. Late July 2013 (I am the lead coordinator for this year) is the date we are setting up the next one in Sevier County, TN. As for one hosted by ToTJO itself, that one I cannot attest to.

That is Master Zanthan Storm's group...

Right now, we just refer people to contact him as far as more info... He has been out of touch with us until recently...

It's interesting that this topic was brought up, because I recently got a facebook friend request from Karen (sorry, don't remember her last name) who said that she was (if I understood correctly) a leader in The United Jedi Council.

At first, I thought she was from TOTJO. But then again, I have to understand that we're just another Jedi group. We're not the entire Jedi people.
