A question or two about application for membership.

Hi, first question I have is what is my address needed for? Should I be expecting anything in the mail? I'm only asking because my current address is a school and it's abit tricky to receive mail.
Second question is it ok if I put down an approximate date of when I joined totjo? I know it was about 4 years ago when I made this account but I literally have no idea which exact date. I don't see it in my profile either.

I've never received anything in the mail. I think it's more of a method of keeping out bots.
