The New IP is Here

The new IP is in effect per the prerogative of the Education Administration in conjunction with the Knights' Corps. You will soon be able to see the new IP live on the website!

* For those who have begun the old IP and are nearing completion, you may continue it.
* For those who have only just begun the old IP, if you have completed Watts, you come under the class spoken of just above.
* If you have not done Watts, your Lessons on Campbell, count, but you should begin the new IP.

That is a good question, River.
I'd say they fall in the category of not having completed that lesson.
Indeed, I do not find that lesson particularly important nor interesting. Let them dispense with it.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what that means in practical terms.
I sponsor someone who has completed lesson 6, part 2 (atheism); shall I tell them they need to start the new IP, or continue the old?

I'm sorry, I'm also not sure what it means to be able to "mix old and new lessons"?
Is there a minimum number of lessons that need to be completed after lesson 6, or... how exactly does this mixing work?

For those of you who worry that the work you have done so far will go to waste, don't worry! Your work will not be ignored. There are currently plans in place to credit completed lessons from the old IP into the degree scheme. That means that although this may delay advancement to Initiate for some of you, you will be at an advantage for further advancement beyond the rank of Initiate when compared to those who have not completed any lessons from the old IP.

My appologies, but where can I find the new IP? The link in Studies seems to take me to the old IP.

It will be uploaded soon. Currently, people with the power to change the IP page are busy outside of the Temple.

I found this very helpful, from Zero at last night's study hall on Discord. If you have not completed lesson 6 of the old IP...

1st you should create a new ip journal, call it “yourname ip journal 2022”
2nd….message a moderator and ask them to rename your old journal “your name degree journal” as all of your previous lessons will count twards your degree points
3rd start the new ip

The new IP can be found under the Studies tab, labeled "IP 2022"

With the permission of the Head of Edu Admin, who is currently indisposed:

Please note that the new cap for the change is the completion of Watts.

You may do ONE or the OTHER if you have completed Watts. If you decide to switch over to the New IP having completed Watts, your work will count towards further promotions, but you should please begin with lesson 1 of the NEW IP
If you decide to stay with the OLD IP having completed Watts, that's fine too, and we will grade you using the lessons and metrics accordingly
