Walking, stumbling on these shadowfeet
Part of the seduction of most religions is the idea that if you just say the right things and believe really hard, your salvation will be at hand.
With Jediism. No one is coming to save you. You have to get off your ass and do it yourself - Me

I had figured as much, but the way I see it is that if we had wanted to distance ourselves entirely from the franchise then we wouldn't have called ourselves "Jedi" now would we.
Also, what's the point if you can't have a little fun with it, it would appear that Br. John appreciated it and as the patriarch of the Temple I have to respect and value his opinion, likewise your own Gisteron.
Not everyone understands the separation of church and fiction here at TotJO, the two however ultimately entwine at least on a mythological level so why not have a lighthearted giggle.
I believe "Horses For Courses" is the saying that fits here, I'm glad that some people appreciated it and no doubt it brought a smile to their faces, which was the intention in it's creation.... spread a little positivity and all that.
I can only apologise if it was not to your taste, "you can please some of the people some of the time"....
