I think that's a great idea. Don't be discouraged about time. It always takes time to make an album. We still have to get a feel for everyone and their styles and what they can and can't do, and then there's all the mixing and bla bla bla. So yeah, don't be discouraged about time.

I believe that everyone in the end has a specific style that they can play amazingly to but in the end everyone can play any type of style and we can play to all of our strengths.

Thanks, Hadi.
I know what you mean. Something like this is a big undertaking. You, Lykeios, and the others are brave.
The last few years, I've mostly just been doing sound collages based on field recordings that I've taken, but my compositions range from organic ambient selections to space music to synthpop to heavier (and sometimes darker) electronic pieces. I've been hoping to get back to a simpler sound lately, so a mellow, meditative piece would be fun to put together.
I was joking with Lykeios that I don't play well with others when making music because I'm trapped in my head during the process, so in my case any submission would likely need to be a stand-alone piece (or perhaps could be used as an interstitial between two tracks if you end up considering a non-stop mix).
I realize that's not particularly collaborative, though! Or at least not wholly in the spirit of what you were originally discussing earlier in this thread.
EDIT: If I do find time, I will compose something and put it out there, then you can do what you will (or won't) with it.

Would the intention be to create music that's representative of people's experiences at TotJO or with Jediism in general? Or is it simply a cooperative endeavor by Jedi in the community?

Well, the main intention was just people randomly getting together but the album mentioned would be not only this, but also individuals submitting their own stuff as well.
I promised a video of my set-up with some tips, so here it is. The only thing I forgot to mention was to be sure you're in a quiet place when recording. Wait for the neighbor to stop mowing his grass, turn off your fan if it's on, don't record while the air conditioner is running...wait til it cuts off and if possible, don't record right next to your laptop or computer as the fan and hard drive noise is easily picked up on the mic (depending on how sensitive your mic is, of course). And also don't hold the mic if you're singing...even the smallest rub against the mic makes a lot of noise:
