I was thinking about this the other day when I was studying for an upcoming test. When I study or do any sort of work, I usually feel quite stressed and anxious, this also makes me procrastinate more and I do not feel as though I put in as much effort as I should.
How does this relate to music?
Well I have just started trying listening to music while studying and I found it does help a fair bit, It keeps me calm and I actually feel better in terms of the working.
However I have a very small music selection and that is why I have taken to the forums to see if any of you have any calm songs that you would recommend as good music to study/work while listening to
I hope this will help me achieve more because I find it really helps
May the force be with you all

Funny that you should say piano because I used to play piano myself and one of those songs I actually remember playing

I have actually never seen Chillstep but I actually really like it so thanks for that suggestion
Generally the music I listen to had lots of lyrics and it sort of became a distraction to me while working as I always wanted to sing along to it so piano is great for listening while working. I'm not really a fan of heavy metal or heavy loud music in general
Thanks for the suggestions though, I think I will use them a lot

Yea when I am trying to "Get in the Zone" I avoid lyrics :-p unless its just gibberish words like the Chillstep/Alan Watts one - Its not really something you sing along with so it melds into the music without the distraction

Studies have shown that Baroque music is beneficial to studying. That's typically my go-to.

I just went and took a look at this as it is something else be never heard of before, and I must say this is exactly what I need. It's calm and soothing and your mind knows it is playing however you tend to not focus too much on it and therefore I think it allows you to focus more on the task you are doing in this case studying
Thanks for this suggestion, it will definitely help
