Today I been contemplating on the different methods of interpreting dreams. I am interested in any comments fellow Jedi have on how they do so as I feel this is an important topic since I have often found answers to life's questions and great insight in my own dreams. Following is the system I use for interpreting my own dreams for any who are interested.
First, I write out as much as i can remember of the dream including every detail I can recall. Then I highlight words that are people, places,and thing that i feel are important. Next, I highlight all words that describe these things(ie a blue lightaber-both blue and lightsaber would be highlighted.)
After this is done, I go word by word on those i highlighted and write out what i think of when i hear those words as each word when it tands alone. Once this is done I read over what I have and then use the same method for a phrase or group of highlighted words and see if I get anything different meanings by taking it as a phrase instead of single words. Once this is done, I look for common trends and patterns in the meaning i've written out. This is really where I come up with the general interpretation for a dream and the greatest insights into whatever life issue I'm currently contemplating or struggling with.
